Spectral Design has a silicon proven and radiation tested Low Leakage SRAM Compiler in the Global Foundries 45nm RF SOI SRAM that reduces the leakage power by 8X, compared to the foundry sponsored standard SRAM Compiler. This reduction is possible with a moderate reduction in performance and no impact on the area. Leakage power is a critical metric for many applications. Close to an order of magnitude in leakage power reduction can be achieved for a 25-30% speed reduction.
