Spectral Design has developed an Ultra-High Vt device (UVT) version of Global Foundries 45nm RF SRAM that reduces the leakage power 80 – 90%. This reduction is possible with a moderate reduction in performance with no impact on area. Leakage power is a critical metric for some 5G applications.
